@ShannonPratt From the province: Set the thermostats to a degree or two lower than heat pumps. This will ensure that if heat pumps cannot keep up in the extreme cold, the supplemental heating systems will kick in and make up the difference to keep their home warm.
@ShannonPratt I am a first year heat pump owner and my company told me to turn up the heat pump a few degrees higher than usual and when I turn on the furnace (I haven't used it this winter) to set it a few degrees lower than I usually would. It is very confusing.
Am at that period of gathering/editing/writing/planning programming for this week and next where I just listened to a voicemail and had to Google the person's name to remember who they are and why I called them.
