Sometimes we tend to overcomplicate our life with God. No matter what situation we're facing, the principle of success remains the same: Trust the Lord; obey His Word; follow His direction in all things.
This new season of #AmericanChopper is my favorite since the early days, and I'm really proud of our bikes. Tune in to @Discovery Tuesdays at 10 pm to see what I mean. (Also if you’re US-based you can enter to win the @MLBNetwork Bike at https://t.co/pyc0Mv01sW)
@WhereIsPaulJr Very nice! That brings back some good memories for me. My dad owned Johnny's Automotive (Mobil) service station located at the corner of Meadow Hill & Union Ave from 1983-1990.
Two things I have learned very acutely over the last four years:
1) You are capable of failing in a way that is unthinkable to you right now.
2) God’s love and forgiveness are big enough to cover the fact that your greatest failure may be in front of you.
The Christmas story: Jesus is in that manger because God has decided to withhold his judgment and pour out his mercy. Those deserving his wrath, will be blessed with his grace.
The Christmas story: the Savior had to come because our big dilemma in life wasn’t societal, familial, political or relational, but moral. Sin is an inside problem that only gets solved through outside intervention.
The Christmas story: A dissatisfied Redeemer (wanting more for us) had to come to all-to-easy-satisfied people so that they would finally find their hearts’ satisfaction in him.
The Christmas story: The Prince of Peace comes on a mission of peace as a sacrifice of peace to establish peace between God and all who put their faith in him.
All human history was marching to a specific point in time when this story would unfold, and the implications of the events of this story reach to everyone who has lived since.
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12)
Do you selfishly hoard God’s love or do you work to make his invisible love visible by being a person of love who extends love to someone who needs love?
