Truckload spot rates broke the all time record by a penny to $3.74/mile on the daily.

The rally is remarkable and a sign that trucking conditions continue to tighten as we head into the busiest month of the year.

June is the one month where nearly every type of freight is at peak and sees large construction, produce, gardening, beverage, back to school, auto, and temp controlled freight.

We are about to get an Iran deal. This means that fuel prices are likely to decline for the rest of the year.

Some think it will lower trucking spot rates. It won’t.

The increase in trucking spot rates have little to do with fuel. Trucking spot rates have surged this year because of tight capacity, not because of fuel.

Trucking capacity is going to continue to tighten through the rest of the year.

Buckle up. Rates are going to rocket.
