Quick reminders-
1. That expensive piece of clothing that will make you broke, won’t make you a better person.
2. Be the friend you want to have.
3. Visit your grandparents.
4. Not everyone will like you.
5. Be kind, to everyone.
6. Trust your gut, always.
My office hours get no love so I started going to the student center to grade and answer emails. Conversations with students in the student center flow differently than ones in my office. We should dismantle the idea that some spaces are for students & others faculty.
boys in rural ontario need compassionate, in-depth, and concrete mental health support. not fundraisers. not spirit days. not just policy change. a fundamental altering of how we view masculinity/male mental illness, it’s obvious how we’ve doing things sucks.
We need to realize Instagram stories, tweets, and Facebook posts aren’t going to save people. Something serious needs to be done and it needs to be done now. This is an extreme mental health crisis and some sort of immediate action needs to be implemented in our communities.
My heart breaks for all who we’ve lost, and for all who are left behind. You are never alone, please stay. Please ride the waves. It won’t always be this hard, right? It can’t be.
