Students across Iran are rising — and this isn’t about one bad exam rule.

Yesterday, June 16, 1405, school students poured into the streets in Fars, Tehran, Markazi, Lorestan and multiple other provinces, right outside the education departments. They’re done with the “definitive GPA impact” on Konkur, the absurd grade-remediation schemes, and the regime’s stubborn insistence on in-person finals even after the war’s disruptions.

But watch these videos. This isn’t a narrow protest. It’s a generation screaming that the entire education system of the Islamic Republic is rotten to the core.

For decades the regime has turned schools into ideological factories and profit machines for insiders. Real teachers — the ones who actually care — get fired or thrown in prison, clearing the way for anti-education policies that no one dares challenge. Education has been commodified: the wealthy buy advantage, everyone else gets crushed under impossible pressure, and the future of millions is gambled on decisions made by ideologues who have never stepped foot in a real classroom.

These students aren’t just angry about grades. They’re rejecting a structure that decides their entire lives without ever listening to them — a system that deepens every social divide while pretending to fight inequality. They see it clearly: the regime doesn’t educate; it controls, experiments, and discards.

This is the same unstoppable force we’ve been documenting from the heart of Iran since the revolution began. The Lion & Sun generation is wide awake. They know the Islamic Republic has failed them completely, and they are no longer willing to stay quiet while their futures are stolen.

The regime’s education machine is collapsing — just like the rest of their house of cards.

This is real anger. No more excuses. Finish the job or arm the Iranians.

🚨 DIRECT FROM IRAN: "Arm us." The Iranian people want to be armed to fight back against a brutal regime, and the videos keep coming.

Ordinary citizens inside Iran are sending a steady stream of these videos directly to me, risking everything to break through the silence. The man in this video is walking down a public street in broad daylight. If you look closely at the parked cars, the Iranian license plates are clearly visible. This is undeniable proof that this is happening on the ground, inside the country.

He is holding up a phone screen displaying the exact demand: "Arm us," set against the Lion and Sun flag. Displaying this imagery in public is punishable by death, but he is doing it anyway.

For the millions they represent, this is no longer a political debate. It is a tactical necessity for survival. Peaceful protest against live ammunition has proven impossible. They aren't asking for foreign boots on the ground. They are asking for the basic means to fight back against a systemic slaughter.

He risked his life to walk down this street and deliver this proof straight from the ground. More people need to amplify their calls. Do not let the regime bury his bravery.

Thin enough to wrap around the shoulders of a child.

In 1833 quarry workmen broke it into pieces.

It took the British Museum 120 years to put it back together.

In October 1833, a team of workmen dug into a Bronze Age burial mound at Bryn yr Ellyllon, Mold, Flintshire, looking for stone for a wall. They broke into the cist. They found a small skeleton. And beside the bones, beaten flat against the stone, a sheet of gold.

564 grams of it. About 75% pure. Hammered thin. Worked in concentric bands of beaten pattern across the surface. Shaped to wrap around the shoulders of someone small.

🏛️ The workmen had no idea what they had. They split the gold between themselves and took it home.

Pieces were sold off, melted down, used as keepsakes.

A vicar wrote it up in The Cambrian. Decades later a museum officer began the work of finding the fragments and buying them back.

The reassembly took until 1953. 120 years from the day it was broken open. The British Museum's conservators pieced it back together against a leather backing, one fragment at a time, until the cape was whole.

It is the finest prehistoric goldwork ever found in Britain. Worked by a Welsh hand. For a child the village had set apart. In a country where the gold for it was mined, the bronze for the tools came from Cornwall, and the people who walked the hill knew the shape of every slope.

🇬🇧 A British Bronze Age family sat down to dinner.

Their house caught fire and fell into the marsh.

Three thousand years on, their porridge is still in its bowl.

Cambridgeshire. The Fenland. Around 1,000 BC, a British family had built a village on wooden stilts above the marsh. Nine round houses linked by a timber walkway. One evening they sat down to eat.

🔥 The thatch caught. The fire moved fast. They grabbed what they could and ran. Their footprints sank into the mud below the platform.

The houses collapsed into the marsh. And the marsh held everything where it fell.

Three thousand years later, Cambridge archaeologists drained the silt. The village rose back up.

The bowl of porridge was still on the table, the wooden spoon still in it. The bread was still in the oven. The wheels were still in the shed. The dog was still by the fire.

🛞 Wheels of solid oak. Glass beads worked by hand. Finely woven cloth. Bronze axes and spears and sickles. Tools any modern carpenter would recognise.

🇬🇧 On a Berkshire hillside there is a chalk horse 3,000 years old.

100 generations of British people have refused to let it fade.

Its name is the Uffington White Horse. It sits on the chalk of the Berkshire Downs. And it was cut around 1,000 BC by Britons of the Late Bronze Age.

They cut a trench into the turf. And filled it with crushed chalk. They cut a horse 110 metres long. Visible from miles.

Chalk hillside art does not last. Grass grows. Silt fills. Without care, a chalk figure disappears within a generation.

🏔️ The Uffington White Horse should have vanished by the Iron Age. It did not.

Because every generation that has lived near it has scoured it. Cleared the grass. Refilled the chalk. Kept the design alive.

The Iron Age tended it. Rome tended it. The Anglo-Saxons named the hill after it. A Welsh poem of 600 AD mentioned it as already ancient. Medieval villagers held a festival to scour it. Victorian villagers wrote songs about it. And every year, modern volunteers continue.

3,000 years of British people. Bronze Age carvers. Iron Age tribes. Roman Britons. Anglo-Saxon farmers. Medieval villagers. Victorian families. And the British still here today.

The carvers who cut the horse became Britons. Their descendants became the British. 100 generations have tended the same horse. 100 generations have refused to let it fade. The horse is alive because the people have stayed.

This is what continuity looks like. Not a memory. Not a museum. A horse kept alive by hand.
