@TodayUpdates0 It was a totally unnecessary cabinet position that Carter created to help bloat the fed gov. The Constitution does not give the power of education to the Feds, it’s a States right. As an individual, I don’t want the Feds controlling every facet of my life!

@TodayUpdates0 Yes I did. I finished high school n 1957 ready 4 the work place. CA schools had vocational courses, I took bookkeeping. Others came out ready for jobs in cosmetology, auto repair, carpentry. There were no teacher unions or Dept. Of Ed. The Feds screwed everything up!

@DIRECTV I have been a customer since 1997. Enjoyed ur service but, last change to the “viewer guide” is awful! Went to check the cast of a show n no such info currently shows. Why n the world would u remove such good n valid info? Got to be dumbest move ever!

@Brown_World7 No. I am a senior who grew up in So Cal in the 40’s n 50’s. I had not a thing to do with happened back n the 1860’s. How does a person living today prove they r descended from slaves? What burden did it put on ur growing up?
