Hugo Sugg
Founder and outgoing Chief Executive
However due to personal and professional reasons, it is the right time for me to step back from the role of Chief Executive Officer when a new CEO has been chosen.
I’m not leaving the organisation and I will remain supporting the new leadership when it is in place.
in regards to homelessness.
Heading into the 10th year of the organisation, over a hundred volunteers and thousands of hours later it is clear that our existence in the homelessness sector is needed.
As the new year is setting in so are the priorities of the Cardon Banfield Foundation, and also myself.
It has been over 9 years since I founded what is now the Cardon Banfield Foundation from what was a blog post to a fully fledged organisation making real change across the UK

MAJOR UPDATE FROM THE CARDON BANFIELD FOUNDATION
CHIEF EXECUTIVE STEPPING BACK
This evening I have given notice of my intention to resign from the role of Chief Executive Officer.
@BJ_Belle1@LBC@AliMirajUK No entitlement here at all - it shouldn’t be about a queue, it should be just housing for everyone who wants it. The fact there are criteria is the worrying thing we should focus on, not those who are in those awful situations.
@johnneil1972@LBC@AliMirajUK Exactly 9 years ago today I recalled the Council saying that to me, in the blog post that started my campaigning: https://t.co/y7RBmjinY5
“The council told me: ‘You’re 18, you’re male, you’re single, go sleep under a bridge’.”
Caller Michael and Cardon Banfield Foundation’s @CBF_Hugo tell @AliMirajUK that they were considered ‘bottom of the list’ for housing support when they found themselves homeless.
Some sad news today from CBF towers, but our founding volunteer and COO Sophie has been incredible!
Read Sophie’s farewell and our CEO’s response below:
Happy #InternationalWomensDay! Today, we celebrate the 2 year anniversary of the fabulous Sophie Rieckmann being promoted to our COO but also all of our female volunteers and Trustees!
