Horrified to see the visuals of the fire at the Delhi hotel. Quite obviously, the hotel flouted all safety norms and operated with impunity like many such places do in Bharat. Reminds me of the fire in the Goa club. Sad truth is, we learn nothing from such tragedies. Corrupt civic officials do not do their job.

कल्याण बनर्जी को आज दिन में पत्थर लग गया तो लोकतंत्र खतरे में दिखाई देने लगा। लेकिन 3 नवंबर को यही कल्याण बनर्जी कह रहे थे कि सुवेंदु अधिकारी और सुकांत मजूमदार बिना सुरक्षा के आएं, तो जिंदा वापस नहीं जा पाएंगे।

तब न लोकतंत्र खतरे में था, न राजनीतिक हिंसा पर कोई चिंता दिखाई दी।

कल्याण बाबू, कर्म आपका पीछा नहीं छोड़ता। जैसा बोओगे, वैसा ही काटोगे। दूसरों के लिए जो माहौल तैयार किया जाता है, एक दिन वही माहौल अपने दरवाजे पर भी आ खड़ा होता है।
