@Stu80594687@ByMHarrington Agreed, enough is enough. Byram and Tuch gave everything they had as Sabres and we appreciate that, but it's time to move on. No ill will toward either of them we just need to focus on bringing in players that will keep us moving forward, not backward.
No-trade and no-move clauses are not the industry standard in North American sports. NHL contracts represent the outlier.
Approximate number of no-trades/no-moves:
NFL: 8
NBA: 2
MLB: 35
NHL: 245
@KuberaKyle He owes Buffalo nothing. He gave everything he had, embraced the city, and helped bring playoff hockey back.
But I'm not sure he gained much by leaving. Higher cost of living, similar taxes, and that $10M may end up being pretty close to what Buffalo offered when said and done.
@TechNTools@ByMHarrington you're leaving because you think you're a No. 1 defenseman, getting traded to a rebuilding team is a strange way to prove it. Sometimes the player and agent let their egos get too big and end up overplaying their hand.
@Toplinesman@scottyd8892@bvelaski Guhle even threw in the whiplash to stick the landing. Martinook is a full stick length back reaching โ at that point you're not hooking anybody you're tapping. But sure โ down he goes. Every time.
@Toplinesman@scottyd8892@bvelaski Beautiful day. But if Montreal is so much better than anyone the embellishment shouldn't be necessary. Just play. The skill is there. Use it.
