@ThreeUKSupport I have an old Three MiFi. I need temporary data for a few weeks. If I buy a Three PAYG SIM (from Tesco) and buy a bundle (mins, SMS, data) can I use it in my MiFi please?
@VJirasek@SGgrc Mind you, in this particular case, the customer is wary of the change due to the learning curve and upcoming holiday. Additionally, the drive has one bad sector and I'm wary of stressing the drive with an OS upgrade. We want to leave well alone until a backup & the hol.
@SGgrc I'm troubleshooting a customer's Windows 8.1 Windows Updates. Having fixed them, Windows says it's ready to auto-upgrade to Windows 10. No obvious way to stop it. I've not seen this before for Win8.1. Heading straight to Never 10!
@VJirasek@SGgrc Yep! 8.1 was a complete fail IMO; a tablet OS on a desktop environment doesn't work. Win7 was much easier to use than 8.1. As with all upgrades, Win10 might not be good on older hardware and some Win8.1 comps were underpowered.
So, I fix computers all day and finish work at 5:30. I come home and finish fixing my favourite Bluetooth headset (broken power switch) and my Nexus 7 tablet which was stuck on the Google startup screen. Bed soon, start again tomorrow.
@ThreeUKSupport Phone. Sorry, I thought it was 200mb of free data but you could use it for calls, texts and additional data too like a 321 SIM. My mistake.
