The establishment wants you to think that change is impossible—that your vote doesn’t matter. When I ran for mayor I started at 4%, 2 years later 87% of the city re-elected me. Change is possible, but only if you vote for it.
@nithyavraman Did you stand with our council member and see the devastation in the Palisades with your own eyes. Not one of the DSA members on the city council stood with Traci in an hour that required unity and compassion. Your actions show who you are.
Letting people suffer and die on our streets isn't compassionate, and it certainly isn't "progressive."
In San Jose, because we changed our approach, we changed our results. We’re going to take it statewide next year.
@Justin_G0rd0n@LindseyPHorvath And what about @SupJaniceHahn ? This property was purchased in 1887 by the people of LA County for the purpose of rehabilitating the poor and ill that landed in CA after the gold rush. Build it, Jan.
@_cat_turner@tomassidenfaden@DyingVenice The people of LA County already own it. Purchased to serve this exact purpose since 1887, far before any neighborhood was built. And if it’s run properly, neighbors have nothing to worry about. Maybe that’s the county’s worry? Failed service providers. Bodes poorly for everyone.
@tomassidenfaden Ask her about Rancho Los Amigos south campus. County purchased in 1887 for those ravaged by going bust after the gold rush. DM me for drone video of the sprawling empty property.
California Democrats have a choice between this shady dude, a billionaire cosplaying as a progressive, a loon and an actual sitting mayor that understands how to get the state back on track. The choice couldn't be more clear. I'm voting @MattMahanSJ!
The @AlaskaAir takeover of @HawaiianAir is pathetic. Impossible to book with points online. Impossible to get through on the phone. So sad to see Alaska ruin Virgin American and now Hawaiian.
@helenenothelen The Kings have almost a dozen exceptional players. They are no longer a physical team. They’re no longer a defensive powerhouse. They aren’t scoring goals. Could it be? They need a coach?
Sacramento has failed to make progress on the biggest issues we face here in California. We need to confront the crisis of homelessness and epidemic of addiction head on — but instead of taking bold action, too many of our leaders have doubled down on approaches that are failing. California deserves better. https://t.co/6sit6bCjHI
@MattSeedorff As a lifelong resident of Los Angeles, I could not be more disgusted by the mayor, the city council, the county and the state. Traci Park is correct - waive all fees. If you don’t, get ready for negligence lawsuits. It would be a joke if it wasn’t tragic.
@Twolfrecovery There’s no plan, Tom. What are they planning to do, throw people in camps without services or medical treatment? We are on the wrong path, but this isn’t a plan. If getting people the help they need was a priority, there would be an emergency declaration and massive funding.
Dr. King defeated racist government officials & ended segregation through disciplined non-violent resistance.
Defeating Trumpism, oligarchy & authoritarianism requires that same level of discipline.
Violent protests are counterproductive and play right into Trump’s playbook.
