While @MaktoobMedia’s subscription is just ₹100 per month, many people have told us that this amount is actually very small.
Even though we have not yet been able to gather enough subscribers to meet our monthly expenses, last month we started a new initiative called Maktoob Membership.
The membership begins at ₹1000 per month and goes up to ₹5000 per month, and supporters from anywhere in the world can join. We have 20 USD and 50 USD options too, and 100 and 200 AED options as well.
Members will receive curated newsletters, Maktoob special stories, monthly book excerpts, early access to our originals, free access to our monthly conversations with experts, and a 20% to 50% discount on Maktoob Store products.
If we can reach at least 250 members committed for one year, it will significantly ease our financial constraints and help sustain our work.
Consider becoming a member. If you cannot afford it, make sure that at least one of your friends or contacts becomes a Maktoob member.
I have been tweeting about Maktoob subscriptions and memberships with the hope that each message will bring a few more people who believe in independent journalism.
Unfortunately, even though our stories reach millions of readers across many platforms, people are still hesitant to financially support independent media.
Become a member today, or help someone else become a Maktoob member.
While we hope for a one-year commitment, there is always an option to cancel at any time if someone later finds it financially difficult.

🚨🇮🇷🇧🇾🇮🇱 BREAKING: A Belarusian (Zionist) traveller at the Moscow airport met an Iranian child, whose family left due to the Israeli war, and BRUTALLY assaulted him!
The child is in a COMA and has LIFE-THREATENING injuries…
🧵 More than 61,000 people have been killed in ongoing Israeli genocide in #Gaza since October 2023. Of the victims, 90% are civilians, with 70% being women and children. These individuals were bombed and killed while sleeping in tents, fleeing danger, standing in lines to receive aid, or simply doing nothing, killed all the same.
With most of the Gaza Strip residents now suffering from extreme food deprivation, acute malnutrition, and severe shortages of clean water, we call on all of you, students, teachers, aid workers, healthcare professionals, artists, engineers, taxi drivers, and anyone with a voice and a sense of responsibility, to take immediate action.
We urge you not only to speak up but to address Israeli authorities and your governments, demanding an immediate halt to the bombing and starvation in Gaza. One call, one email, or one act is all it takes to break the silence and disrupt the vicious cycle of violence.
Make them feel the pressure, make history, and choose the road less travelled by, for it will make all the difference.
We mark International Day to Combat Islamophobia, let's remember that discrimination against Muslims is unacceptable. We must stand up for the rights and dignity of all people, regardless of their religion or background. #CombatIslamophobia#antiislamophobiaday
