🧵 More than 61,000 people have been killed in ongoing Israeli genocide in #Gaza since October 2023. Of the victims, 90% are civilians, with 70% being women and children. These individuals were bombed and killed while sleeping in tents, fleeing danger, standing in lines to receive aid, or simply doing nothing, killed all the same.

With most of the Gaza Strip residents now suffering from extreme food deprivation, acute malnutrition, and severe shortages of clean water, we call on all of you, students, teachers, aid workers, healthcare professionals, artists, engineers, taxi drivers, and anyone with a voice and a sense of responsibility, to take immediate action.

We urge you not only to speak up but to address Israeli authorities and your governments, demanding an immediate halt to the bombing and starvation in Gaza. One call, one email, or one act is all it takes to break the silence and disrupt the vicious cycle of violence.

A 16-year-old Muslim student in Providence Girls Higher Secondary School in Kerala’s Kozhikode district had to leave the school Tuesday after the school authorities said she would not be allowed to wear hijab. 

She was issued a transfer certificate.
