especially as this is not an isolated incident - a close friend who recommended the bike has had a crack in his at exactly the same place when the bike was 6 months old. I have ridden for 35 years and raced the last 20 on all different brands and never had such poor customer
@jamisbikes I still have not had the courtesey of an acknowledgement or a response to my complaint posted on Thursday night. I am rapidly losing confidence in Jamis Bikes post sales customer service. A £3k adventure bikes frame should not fail after 8 weeks riding mainly on road

There has been no crash damage which an inspection of the bike supports (the bike is immaculate as verified by Evans Cycles) I have been shocked by the lack of customer service and customer care to date shown by Jamis warranties which has also been shared by Evans Cycles.
I am devestated as I have been training all year to ride around Crete (800 miles and 70,000ft of climbing in a week unsupported) in 2 weeks time which is why I bought the bike. Flights, accomodation etc have been booked. I currently have no bike.
in the carbon frame above the cassette on the rear stay last weekend. I also found out my friend also has developed the same problem on his frame. Despite this and the full support of Evans Cycles UK I so far have been advised I do not qualify for warranty claim as crash damage.

as the bike is imaculate and has not been crashed etc, I am devestated as I bought the bike to ride around Crete in 2 weeks time unsupported around the whole island and have been training all year for the trip (800 miles and 70,000 ft climbing in 7 days).
A friend of mine who recommended the bike subsequently has had a crack in the frame in the same place. He is waiting for a replacement frame but despite the coincedence mine so far has been dimissed for warranty claim despite the full support of Evans Cycles.
I bought my Jamis carbon elite adventure bike from Evans Cycles Cardiff, UK 10 weeks ago and it initially brought a smile to my face every time I rode it. The frame cracked despite normal mainly road use last weekend.
