@pamsson @burziyech Definitely a weird play, but unless you change the rule to make a walk a dead ball (like on a HBP) the runner is fair game once they touch 2B. I think the rule is good…just a rare, bizarre circumstance.

@lovejoy_the @BFresh7gh6 @jcalvinmeyer The umpire is not supposed to call time immediately. It’s a delayed dead ball, allowing the play to continue. This is to give the benefit to the offense. Mayo should have been allowed to stay on 3B.

@BritishOrioles October 5, 1997 we watched the Steelers-Ravens at Memorial Stadium and managed to get very last minute tickets later that day for game 4 of the ALDS between the O’s and the Mariners. Mike Mussina vs Randy Johnson. What a day! Have fun!
