BREAKING NEWS: The Atlanta Braves announce the death of franchise legend Bob Horner at the age of 68.
Horner was the 1978 NL Rookie of the Year, a four-time All-Star, and one of the most feared power hitters of his era — blasting 218 career home runs, including a legendary four-home run game in 1986.
A cornerstone of Braves baseball throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, Horner hit .277 for his career with an .839 OPS and 685 RBI.
According to ABC News and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (article published in 2023), there have been around 300 cited traffic offenses of Georgia players since Kirby Smart took over in Athens.
Since then - I have no idea where that number stands, but it’s much higher. There’s a very dangerous trend happening in Athens that we’re all laughing at…but it’s extremely concerning.
Former Broncos QB Craig Morton passed away on Saturday at the age of 83, the team announced.
Morton, who also played for the Cowboys and Giants, played for Denver from 1977-82, leading the team to its first playoff appearance and Super Bowl berth.
