@CatholicCharm Like churches that require paying upwards of $2000 to have your wedding there. Do we not want people entering sacramental marriages?? Interestingly, most annulment processes are free.

Entirely correct. Rather than try to retcon Thanksgiving, Catholics should delight in the irony that the Pilgrims, who despised liturgical feasts as papist, ended up simply establishing their own liturgical feast because human nature demands liturgy and feasts.

I don’t feel qualified at all to comment on the Medicaid conversation but I will say, Anecdotally, I was on Medicaid after law school when I was pregnant with my first child before my job started. Even once we received insurance from work, Medicaid paid for EVERYTHING. 1/
