BREAKING: Trae Young intends to sign a four-year, approximately $212 million deal to stay with the Washington Wizards, with a player option in Year 4, sources tell ESPN. The four-time NBA All-Star declined his $49M player option for a long-term commitment ahead of free agency.
The Toronto Raptors are a team to monitor for Myles Turner, per @michaelgrange
“A couple of league sources have suggested that the Raptors could be interested in Bucks centre Myles Turner if the Bucks go into fire-sale mode after a potential Antetokounmpo trade.”

Shams on Giannis:
"The MIL Bucks are going to make a decision. They are in serious conversations right now with two finalist. The Boston Celtics, and the Miami Heat. Both teams are top teams of Giannis preferred destinations... A lot of the work is done. My understanding is Giannis is ready to be traded from the Bucks. He wants to be moved either to Miami or Boston"
Marc Stein on the Bucks considering the Celtics offer over Miami:
“Don’t they need to start over? The Bucks draft capital they sent for Dame Lilliard, but if you trade Giannis for a good amount of draft capital, that is how you start over.
What I was expecting was, if they do Miami, and trade Herro now as well and turn that into future assets/young players. That would broaden the haul they get from
Miami. Normally we don’t go crazy about the 13th pick, but in this draft the 13th pick is valued. In rival front offices there was a lot of thinking that ‘if MIL had 10&13 that would be a good platform to relaunch from’”

Bucks Ownership would like a star player in return for Giannis, per @TheSteinLine
“Based on everything I’m gathering, ownership in Milwaukee, wants a star player if they’re going to trade Giannis after 13 seasons, they want at least one star back. Someone they can point to as a unquestioned star”

All trolling aside I think for the NBAs sake it’s best for GA to go to Miami. That team would be able to compete against any team in the East. I don’t really see how Boston plays out. But Boston is losing Jaylen anyways so might as well lose him for Giannis so I get their logic.
Something to keep in mind is that Milwaukee has one of the weirdest ownership structures in all of sports. Their governorship changes hands every five years. Wes Edens has it now. Jimmy Haslam gets it in 2028.
There have been a bunch of twists and turns in the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, but we are trending toward a resolution leading up to tomorrow's NBA Draft.
The Bucks face one of the most important decisions in franchise history with Boston and Miami firmly in the mix.
“Bucks executives are literally right now in their offices figuring out which direction they want to go. There are two offers right now it’s come down to…. Right now the Heat and the Celtics are the only two teams involved that have gotten the commitment from Giannis that he is willing to sign long term”

The Celtics on their decision to potentially split up Tatum and Brown:
“I think the Celtics have taken a hard look in the mirror and decided, we weren’t going to beat the Knicks.”

Jaylen Brown is accepting of the fact that he could be traded to the Bucks and would be getting his own team which he has thought about for some time, per @WindhorstESPN
Today or tomorrow is set to be the Bucks most important franchise decision of all-time, on deciding the two finalists in acquiring Giannis, Boston or Miami.
Even the old "they asked for Bam" BS was so stupid because why didn't you ever try to create other ways of getting players?
They asked for Bam? Okay, you're not getting him but here's X top pick that is a great young player with potential or here's 6 different picks instead
The 13th pick from Miami and Boston’s 27th pick are BOTH on the table for a Giannis trade, per @ShamsCharania
“The most important thing right now on this deal right now, is the draft is tomorrow. Both of these deals have picks in this draft on the table. The Heat have the 13th pick the Bucks have to know that they are picking their. There’s trade possibilities when you have a pick that high”
