Since we’re all missing hockey, I figured I’d tweet some of the greatest goals in Penguins history. This one is my all-time favorite that I saw in-person. Great pass @IMHockeyskills (he had less room than you think) & that baby at the glass is now in his mid-20’s!
@Jed_Trott @Dwnhogendoorn I was in Rota for a short port call once, and I hope to take my family there some day.
Much better than Gibraltar or Lisbon stops on that deployment. We also passed through the Strait of Sicily surfaced, and it was visually stunning.
Expected wins (predicted via logistic regression using average lead for each game) and played strength of schedule via @inpredict. Gives a sense of how a team has fared given opponents (above blue preferred). Surprised to see where DET, ARI, and LA land.
@mrcaseb#nflverse
@predict_addict@getkingdon@marktenenholtz Can't you just conformalize the output of the quantile regression produced by xgboost now? I'm a conformal novice, but I thought that was part of the appeal of conformal "calibration."
@WilliamsonNFL I'd give @theqbschool's breakdown of Wk 3 a look; I think it's relevant to your observation. Pittsburgh media always love to go after the OC, but the guys with credibility in the space like JT are unanimously critical of Canada.

A few thoughts:
1) Most durable learning I've accomplished was acquired via independent/small group problem sets in STEM or research/writing projects.
Outside of class.
2) There's far too little concern in homework debates about when homework is developmentally appropriate.
before middle school, homework serves no purpose but to traumatize children. do your job and teach them in the classroom. when they’re home, let them play.
@Ben_R_Brown_ Serious question: why does higher EV make one alternative "the right decision?" Given nature of the game, the average is not obviously meaningful. What makes comparing EVs the correct decision rule.
@MarkKaboly That's not really what he said. More like he's privy to more information than just Sunday results, so he is not as concerned based on integrating all the information into his assessment.
@DominicDeAngelo Olbermann takes himself so seriously and is absolutely the worst. And he's not nearly as clever as he thinks, which he cannot acknowledge because it would destroy him.
