The perennial cry to “Save Earth" is odd. Planet Earth survives massive asteroid strikes -- it'll survive anything we throw at it. But Life on Earth will not.
@TA_Andrew_P273@sciam We have to acknowledge that there is a possibility that we are in fact virtual, but it would be hard to test. And while this theory is great "outside of the box" thinking, unless we find evidence to support this view, I don't believe in it.
Many kidney tumours have their origins in genetic mutations that occurred 30–50 years before diagnosis, during childhood or adolescence #ResearchHighlight https://t.co/TtSUDdg1sW
Some bacteria trigger their own destruction by making their environment uninhabitable, a process that researchers have named ‘ecological suicide’ #ResearchHighlight https://t.co/RvqcWI8PGM
Did you know that refrigerators and freezers operate more efficiently when full, so keep your refrigerator and freezer as full as possible. #EnergyConservation#Sustainability
@N3Nicolas@NatGeo As you said, polar bears are now breeding with grizzlies. This demonstrates that there's not enough individuals to allow either species to mate with members of their own populations. Long-term this leads to loss of biodiversity.
According to @NatGeo the global population of polar bears is projected to decrease (due to decline in sea ice) by two thirds, to less than 10,000 polar bears by 2050. #ClimateChange
@N3Nicolas@NatGeo No it's not hard at all. While we cannot count each bear, statistical analysis shows that populations continue to decline. Polar bears are now facing extinction. And that's a fact. This is the concensus among scientists.
@TA_Andrew_P273 @han_boyi you'd be surprised by the extent of the suppression and censorship going on. And how often TV stations experience "technical problems" that forces them to cut the feed as soon as something deemed inappropriate is shown.
