@ChelseaJulian Not sure why I would bother. Our research relies on is better when we are able to hear and see people or actually hold historical documents and see marginalia that was dropped by the underpaid student who was scanning things in and didn't know that marginalia is awesome.
J.-N. Kim, M. M. Chiu, H. Lee, Y. W. Oh, @_HGZ_, and C.-H. Park wrote a wonderful piece for the special issue marking our centennial celebration! #JMCQ_100

One-third of US newspapers as of 2005 will be gone by 2024, Medill report says. That “dynamic ‘poses a far-reaching crisis for our democracy as it…struggles with political polarization, a lack of civic engagement and the proliferation of misinformation…” https://t.co/EM4ZqkgpeL
@TeriFinneman @ChelseaJulian I genuinely felt the most detached and devoid of feeling I had ever felt when I got the letter and just sat there staring at it. Talk about a massive letdown after years of just trying not to fail.
Excited to receive the news that our article "Media
Representations and Diversity in the 100 Years of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly” has been published in Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly.

@janemarcellus @TeriFinneman Good points, @janemarcellus ! Hiring committees have taught me much about university leadership and the various ways power is abused in all parts of the hiring process.
Me: Can I get reimbursed for this?
University: Yes, but you'll need to jump through several unpredictable hoops, confront multiple technical hitches, and we will lose your request. It will be the most difficult process you've ever experienced. Shall I send you the forms?
Horse race reporting is lazy work that can have a huge effect on the outcome of elections. Questions news consumers should ask: Has the event happened yet? If it hasn't, why is it being reported as fact? Who are the stakeholders? What do they win? Who loses? Why?
