College of Arts and Sciences HADDIX Dean's Fellows
@ccas_dfp
A leadership-based program at Creighton University focused on creating student leaders who embody the Jesuit values of the University both on and off-campus.
Brag Alert!
Four Dean’s Fellows were elected to the College of Arts and Sciences Student Senate Executive Team. Congratulations to McKenna Gervais, Raj Velakaturi, Ethan Lorenson, and Meg Ptak and good luck in your new role on campus!

A fun fact about Attisen is that she spent this summer completing an archaeological dig in Trim, Ireland at the remains of a medieval Dominican friary.
On campus, Attisen is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, she plays the trombone and euphonium for Creighton’s Symphonic Band, and serves as a PR Chair for the art honors program, Kappa Pi.
This weekend, our seniors met to debrief and reflect on their capstone trip to Washington D.C. with Father Sullivan and their small groups. Thoughtful conversations were had and we're missing the trip even more!

A fun fact about Matthew is that he studied abroad with the Encuentro Dominicano program @creightonintheDR last fall and absolutely loved it! His favorite aspect about Dean’s Fellow is learning more about Ignatian and servant leadership and how to apply it to all settings.
He serves as part of the @creighton_scsj local community engagement team in conjunction with the Sienna Francis House. In addition, Matthew is a member in Best Buddies and an RSP decurion.
A fun fact about Justin is that he has a life-long goal to visit every national park and has already made a big dent in the list! His favorite thing about the Dean’s Fellows Program are the relationships his build and the consistent support from the Dean’s and his fellow members.
He assists the Creighton Athletics @gocreighton with graphics and is even mentoring a group of freshmen students with interest in graphic design. Justin also frequently volunteers with @opendoormission and Bryan Hospital.
Yesterday we hosted our second annual blood drive on campus! Thank you to the 41 people who donated and the 27 units that will go to people in need of transfusions in our community.

Omaha ➪ Washington, DC 🏛️
After learning about Ignatian leadership, servant leadership, intercultural leadership, and advocacy, @ccas_dfp headed to DC to use their knowledge by meeting with our nation's leaders to discuss issues that are most important to their program.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to hear an accomplished writer, public speaker, and leadership consultant speak on his experiences and provide valuable leadership insight to our members.

“Every leader in a way faces a fundamental choice: is this about serving me or about serving others or a purpose greater than itself”
Thank you to @ChrisLowney for speaking with our Dean’s Fellows during this semester’s mission event!

“Pope Francis: Why He Leads the Way He Leads”, written by Dr. Chris Lowney, is required of all Dean's Fellows students during RSP their freshman year to learn more about Dr. Lowney’s unique perspective on Ignatian leadership and to reflect on their own leadership styles.
A fun fact about Jack is that he loves to paint and draw. He quotes that he is extremely grateful for Dean's Fellows "because so many people have supported me in my academics and leadership endeavors and I am confident these relationships will last long past college.”
Jack is Social Executive for Beta Theta Pi, the Alumni Relations Chair for Health Administration and Policy Student Association, and a decurion. Additionally, Jack frequently participates in service with Completely Kids and with our community partner - the Sienna Francis House.
