I always love the energy and enthusiasm that people in Sunderland put into absolutely hurtling through their count.
A great election night tradition in England.
The ๐๐ผ day ๐๐ผ following ๐๐ผ an ๐๐ผ overnight ๐๐ผ shift ๐๐ผ is ๐๐ผ not ๐๐ผ a ๐๐ผ day ๐๐ผ off ๐๐ผ
We didn't have parties to "boost morale".
We didn't have quiz nights.
We didn't have champagne.
We watched our colleagues die.
We watched the bodies pile high in their thousands.
These lying, cheating, self-serving charlatans need to be flung out of office.
Use your vote. Vote.
I was signed off work for months before due to extreme depression, suicidal intent and out of control OCD
I was working in the NHS. My employer and work was a huge part of this
I have ending gratitude to the GP who protected me, giving me time to recover
Sick notes save lives
#BREATHTAKING is a haunting and difficult but important watch (if you're able) The unit I worked in during that time wasn't as affected as other areas of the NHS but I remember it being a scary and hard time. Covid is still affecting lives every single day, even 4 years on.
MH nursing is a very complex and specialist skill set. It is not โan optionโ. To think it is something that can be โtacked on the endโdemonstrates both a dearth of understanding and continuing lack of parity of esteem.
@TheRustler83 I worked ICU during covid & I can confirm this is true. Staff members got into trouble for doing CPR without full PPE. People disbelieving the #breathtaking show have no idea what was happening in hospitals. ICU set up for 20 beds with 72 patients. Memories I wish I never had
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who braved watching #BREATHTAKING, who commented, who shared their own experiences, who chose not to look away.
Here are my reflections on the astonishing public response to the series - available on @ITVX now ๐ https://t.co/5I7Bplqk3V
#Breathtaking may have stirred up emotions related to your own experiences and challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to remind you that we're here to offer support. If you need assistance outside of regular hours, please consider accessing the wonderful supportive services available.
A huge well done @doctor_oxford and @ITV for portraying these experiences with such authenticity.
Finally caught up with #Breathtaking - well done @doctor_oxford and all involved. A reminder of the reality of that Covid crisis - the best of Britain was let down by the worst of Britain and the worst possible PM and government at the worst possible time. Johnson .. truly awful
Today is #MentalHealthNursesDay
Thank you to the 97,530 nurses registered in @nmcnews mental health field of practice - you really make a difference for people ๐
Numbers are rising but with increased mental health needs across UK, itโd be great to have more ๐
@MHnursesday
Some words from the heart around the language used when someone tragically takes their own life ๐ 63 years ago, The Suicide Act 1961 says that suicide is no longer a criminal act. Please read more here ๐๐ผhttps://t.co/7fIioqbCnB

A general election is on the horizon. Young peopleโs mental health is in a state of emergency - itโs time to address the root causes and radically improve support services. Politicians need to step up and do more for young people.
Please share.

Please talk about the person who has died, it will help those grieving to know they are not forgotten.
