Almost lost on page IN8 of the Saturday @TorontoStar is a very worrisome 'letter to the editor' by Susan Wells of Family Service Ontario who says the service is "overwhelmed" by Covid & cuts to funding. Attached is an excerpt of her letter:
Canada's toxic drug crisis has killed more than 20,000 people since 2016. It can be difficult to comprehend the enormity of human loss.
A team at The Globe sought to memorialize those we have lost.
Here are the stories of 100 people who died in 2020.

Pilot project research on couples counselling showed that 10 sessions of evidenced-based therapy from Family Service agency clinicians proved effective and was a financially sustainable intervention that improved communication while reducing stress and conflict in couples.
Family Service agencies also offer couples counselling. For couples at risk for escalating violence, this evidence-based early intervention can help reduce relationship stress and conflict and decrease the risk of violence. @ONSocialService
