Catholic Charities serves the 8-county Diocese of Cleveland via family & children services, behavioral health, emergency assistance, CYO athletics and more.
Due to inclement weather and in the interest of safety for clients, staff, and volunteers, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland has adjusted its service operations for Monday, January 26, 2026.

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, is announcing the expansion and relocation of the St. Augustine Hunger Center to a larger, fully renovated site at 2345 West 14th Street, one block north of its current home in Tremont. The move keeps the hunger center in the neighborhood it has served for more than 50 years and expands its ability to meet rising community needs. In 2024, St. Augustine Hunger Center served a total of 116,022 meals to individuals and families in need in the community.
Through support from The Sanson Company, the renovation will increase accessibility, enlarge the dining area, and upgrade the kitchen and equipment to improve service capacity. The renovations and relocation are expected to be completed by spring 2026.

We share our deepest gratitude with the executive leadership team of Mercy Health and its ministries across the Lorain and Youngstown markets for joining Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, at our St. Elizabeth Center today. Mercy Health generously sponsored and served a holiday meal in celebration of the Feast Day of St. Elizabeth. Many clients and community members from across Lorain joined in fellowship for the meal and to receive pantry bags filled with food and supplies thanks to Mercy Health. This morning, Jim Mullen, president & CEO of @CCDOCLE, joined Terrel Valentine, director of Bishop William M. Cosgrove Center, in welcoming @WEWS and other local media to our Easter holiday meal at Bishop Cosgrove Center.
Catholic Charities volunteers and staff distributed 12,000 holiday meals today to individuals and families both on-site and through free delivery to homes throughout greater Cleveland. Serving this holiday meal is just one way Catholic Charities works to address unmet needs, ease the burden of hunger and create a hopeful, caring community.
We are grateful to @baronsbus, @NorthernHaserot, and the many @DIOCESEofCLE parishes who contribute generous food donations and volunteerism to our Catholic Charities’ Easter meals campaign.
