@Captain2Corner Well its not my money but being that he will be 26 when contract begins i would start at 12 yrs. 12 - 500 with opt out in 5 yrs. Have a trigger like Coles that club could cancel opt out if they extended it by 3 yrs (total of 15 yrs then) & another 150 million
@Chris_NYY28 Gil has never (minors or majors) pitched 100 innings and he is already at 37. I doubt yankees would stretch him more than 120/130 after being injured and pitching under 30 innings each of last two years. So even though he doesnβt deserve to be sent to relieveβ¦
@Medic968 Cautiously more optimistic. Beginning of season i predicted 91 wins and wild card. Their SP needs to go at least 5 to 6 innings more frequently soon or they will burn out a depleted bullpen. A healthy Cole back in early June vs All-Star break would be huge.
