@DavidZipper @FastCompany Coffee shop, groceries, hardware store all easily done on the e-bike. I’m the only one to use the bike racks. Getting in and out of parking lots is a breeze, and the bike sits next to the table for coffee. So great.

@thomasafine I agree the subsidies should be limited to those of the cargo carrying variety. Ebikes that could truly replace a car. Conventional road/mtn bikes don’t have the cargo carry ability, and non-electric cargo bikes would not serve the same purpose without pedal assist.

@thomasafine Spot on. I have a stable of road and gravel bikes for proper fitness / recreational activities. I have a cargo ebike to use instead of my car for 95% of typical car uses.
