This video is so ironic. It paints the simple reason why TBPN won the game in only 18 months.
Trad media only searching for scoops. These platforms moving into New Media don't understand how badly this hurts relationships with the most important people in world.
TBPN has zero gotcha moments. They build good will by being pro tech, pro growth and making friends.
I'm glad that moving against highly polarised content is winning.
Much of what’s being sold as "AI" today is snake oil. It does not and cannot work. In a talk at MIT yesterday, I described why this happening, how we can recognize flawed AI claims, and push back. Here are my annotated slides: https://t.co/iCpyFw5urN
I saw a job post the other day. 👔
It required 4+ years of experience in FastAPI. 🤦
I couldn't apply as I only have 1.5+ years of experience since I created that thing. 😅
Maybe it's time to re-evaluate that "years of experience = skill level". ♻
Connectifier was the last viable competitor to LinkedIn. Easy to use; layered over LI data; provided the emails. Everything a recruiter would need. #recruiting
@benedictevans Dato (Mac OS) is a useful remote tool too. Shows my meetings w/ zoom links. And able to keep track of coworkers’ local time across 6 different time zones.
@imJeremyR@joelcheesman “We’re cheaper than LinkedIn Recruiter” tools were always on a long tail of decline, because they tried to out-linkedIn LinkedIn. Macro forces just accelerated that decline. Being a better UI over ats data was always the better play. Just technically harder.
