We had a Pageland area bus that got temporarily stuck in the mud today before it was cleared. The bus was not in an accident and it has already resumed the afternoon route.

In an effort to keep our students and staff safe, Chesterfield County School District will have an e-Learning day tomorrow, Friday, November 11, 2022. All extracurricular activities and athletic events are canceled.

We have had a false alarm about a potential intruder at Central High School this morning. Again, this is a false alarm and the school is safe, secure, and operating normally. We have heard of similar reports from around the state as well.

Due to lingering conditions in the county associated with last Friday’s landfall of Hurricane Ian, Chesterfield County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Monday, Oct. 3.
On Tuesday, October 4th, all schools will be back on normal operational start and end times.

Pageland Elementary hosted our annual “What to Expect” Parent Sessions and Title 1 Fall meeting recently. They also kicked off our World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser.

A bus carrying students from New Heights Middle and Jefferson Elementary was involved in an accident this afternoon in the Jefferson area.
The bus was carrying 24 students. Eight students were transported to the hospital with injuries.

April 7 12:13 PM: Due to a shoot at a nearby business, the sheriff's office has asked that Cheraw High School, Long Middle School, and Cheraw Intermediate School all be on lock in/lock out while law enforcement look for the suspect.
