@cmckennasport@TheAthletic "Joshua’s contract also states White and Zuffa Boxing cannot be named promoters of the Fury bout, despite Al-Sheikh owning 60 per cent of the company." This is not correct. Sela, not Turki, owns 60% of Zuffa Boxing and it's an important distinction.
@MarkEOrtega@FightOpinion@MarcGatford Interesting...the guy iVB/Silverback claimed to be in attendance from Youtube at the January press conference told me he wasn't there in any official capacity
Thank you Michael Barba and @FightOpinion for covering this story, which was always bigger than a doomed-to-fail boxing promotion. If you have issues getting a refund, please contact them.
Mayor Daniel Lurie once supported plans to host the boxing event outside City Hall. Now he’s demanding fans get reimbursed for ticket sales. https://t.co/FbKli1SRP9
@SIChrisMannix With the iVisit Media Ltd windup petition hearing in the UK on July 1 with Judge Agnello KC, and Ed's history of phoenixing companies in the UK, I doubt this show will ever happen. I just hope customers get their money back.
If anyone in boxing is reading this and is owed money in conjunction with this now-cancelled Ed Pereira event originally scheduled for July 11th in San Francisco at Civic Center Plaza, feel free to reach out to me. I want to hear your story.

ALERT: Michael Barba at the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that Kyle Meyers/Silverback, the main permitting contractor for Ed Pereira's July 11th Civic Center Plaza event, has yanked the event application with the city.
SF Mayor Daniel Lurie's office is demanding refunds.
As @FightOpinion notes, iVisit Media Ltd is currently facing a High Court winding-up petition. Public court docket records show hearings on March 11 and May 6 (before Judge Agnello KC). Curious whether the planned July 11 SF event or related US operations were discussed.
In my 30 years of combat sports writing, I've never encountered a stranger & more complex story.
How did Ed Pereira emerge out of NOWHERE to win over SF Mayor Daniel Lurie, Joe Lacob's top lobbyist Chris Gruwell, and Sampson Lewkowicz to promote boxing?

There apparently is going to a June 2nd announcement regarding Youtube PPV pricing for Ed Pereira's San Francisco boxing event being promoted by Mayor Daniel Lurie, Sampson Lewkowicz, and Warriors/49ers lobbyist Chris Gruwell.

The unanswered question remains 'how is this spectacle going to be funded?' VIP City Hall dinners? Crowd control/electrical/staff/permitting for 135,000 people? As @FightOpinion's article mentions, this shouldn't be dismissed as a joke. Who is protecting taxpayers/customers?

@TruSchoolSports This spells it out... I'm a taxpayer of SF and the money simply isn't there. Ticketing process looks very shady. I wish all the best for the boxers but this looks like a train wreck https://t.co/NLn3YLF4oD
Based on submissions to SF's Rec & Parks Dept on May 12 along with the updated permit application, it looks like @ringmagazine logo is being used on ringside imaging in front of City Hall. Did iVisit or Silverback (knowingly or uknowingly) insert this?
In an interview with @IFLTV, Ed Pereira claims that most of the $6,000 VIP tickets for his July 11th San Francisco boxing event are sold out.

This is how SF City Hall is being marketed for an event @SIChrisMannix and @SteveKim323 have referred to as "Boxing's Fyre Festival." Is City Hall enabling this? Private dinners from Michelin Star Chef?
Earlier screenshot was from 8:13am PST. This is from 9:51pm PST. The ONLY section I can identify a change in availability is the $6k VVIP purple section. I counted 181 of the $6k seats available this AM, and now only 30 appear available. That's $906k of inventory in 13 hours.
If these were legitimate ticket sales, it would imply that iVB has sold more ticket revenue via $6,000 VVIP ringside seats for Olascuaga-Dominguez in a 13 hour period than the total gates of most California based professional boxing cards 🤣

"Ticket revenue goes directly from your ticket buyer's bank account to your payment processing account. That means you're not waiting 'till after the event, or slow periodic payouts to see the return from your ticket sales." https://t.co/IsNbBqdsZC
