@corellian32@danpfeiffer In a neutral election you should expect a R+10 PVI seat to be GOP 60% Dem 40% which is 10 points redder than a PVI+0 seat where you should expect a 50% - 50% margin.
In a R+5 PVI seat, the GOP should win 55/45. And so on.
In a D+10% year this district SHOULD be 54/46 GOP.
@corellian32@danpfeiffer It's not complicated. House popular vote margin in 24 was R+2%. A D+10% environment in 26 is a 12% swing.
In a district with a R+10 PVI, applying the same swing, you should expect a PVI of R+4 (or 54%)
PVI โ margin. PVI is a share difference from the 50% baseline.
@JMilesColeman At what point does IN05 (Trump +16) come into discussion? If KY06 is rated Lean GOP and it was Trump +15, have to think IN05 shouldn't be "Safe GOP".
@votetimscott Sooooo, it's not fake but "the most racist thing" suggests you've seen other racist things from this White House. What are we even doing here?
@TangoMakki@Bencjacobs FWIW, Clinton was reelected 24 years before Joe Biden in 2020. Time is a crazy thing. Just think, Bill Clinton was 46 when he won in 92. And had already been a Governor and State AG for 14 years by that time.
