@Hajjyass70 I don't want to pay for it. English, French and local languages are what are practical and recognized in our official state communications. Which nation speaks Arabic in Wrst Africa?

Beyond that I have no qualms with Arabic or Zulu. They all existed long b4 any religions

@Mrguni_ @Hajjyass70 I know. But there was a story of someone that got lynched by a mob for throwing an Arabic book in the bin in 9ja. Apparently the book had no religious value but the general population associate Islam with the language and went ahead to kill him.

However, you look at it you can't take the religious slant out of it. Even the demographic defending it makes it obvious

@Hajjyass70 I don't think he has ulterior motives but Arabic in mainstream system is very unnecessary. Is it going to be thought purely as a language or with a Quranic twist? If as a language then the question is how beneficial is it relative to Mandarin?

@CheEsquire It is lost on him that Arabic is a language and culture. He thinks Arabic is Islam. That is why I have a problem that government is wasting taxpayer money reinforcing this misunderstanding instead of promoting Islamic studies in English or translation to local languages.

I have been saying that Zongo's must be banished. It's dangerous to create a situation where a particular religion holds complete sway of territory.

@sheikhwithswag The religion itself isn't a problem. For some reason a majority of persons that are Muslims or born into it have a warped worldview prone to violence. Not sure if it's a carryover from local culture but I observe same tendencies in Jews too.
