I got my Louisiana CCP $ no longer get delayed. You can be delayed for things as simple as having a name similar to someone with a questionable record.

You can't be a resident of one state and purchase a firearm in another state and walk out the door with it. Even if you pass the background check. You would need to ship it from that store to a local gun store near you
