At wit’s end, Alice learned about CDEL. CDEL used the evidence Alice had collected to negotiate a $7,000 payment to help with moving out and finding somewhere safe, clean, and affordable to live.

Soon after, Alice received notice that her lease would not be renewed. She wondered whether this notice had anything to do with her putting pressure on the management company to repair her heating system. She negotiated a move out agreement, again without success.
Don’t forget CDEL this #GivingTuesday!

"I want to thank Dana along w/ the staff at CDEL for coming to my aid not just in a financial, but also a psychological & even a physical perspective. Unfortunately, this situation has affected my health, Dana brought me a semblance of hope as I move forward." -CDEL Client John
CDEL Client Spotlight: John came to CDEL through the Early Resolution Program. He'd found himself in financial trouble after a divorce & was renting an apartment & living off of government benefits for the 1st time.
Read more about John's story in the thread below:
Due to limited income & lack of assets, he was overwhelmed by debts & couldn't see a way to pay them. Staff Attorney Dana Harbaugh noticed that he was collection-proof. CDEL worked with the creditor to get John's case dismissed ultimately freeing him from almost $10,000 in debt.
