MEDIA STATEMENT.
The @cdf_command Condemns the Arrests of our Defenders in Mutare. Meanwhile we call for the defense of the constitution, it is important that we speak more to its implementation particularly the bill of rights which guarantees the freedom of Assembly. @HStvNews
The Constitution Defenders Forum continues to emerge as a rigorous platform of defending the Constitution without fear, favor or prejudice. CDF continues to conduct programs and discussions on the creation of a new Zimbabwe founded on constitutionalism, democracy, devolution and the rule of law. Despite the challenging environment, CDF continues to mobilize, engage, advance and defend.

YOUR EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT @edmnangagwa
I write to you, appealing for the thorough investigation on the abduction of Activist Itai Dzamara, a decade ago. His family would appreciate the closure of knowing what happened to their loved one!
Regards,
Keegan Mathe.

The Constitution Defenders Forum notes with concern the decision to deny live media coverage of the Constitutional Court hearing in the matter brought by CDF Freedom Fighters Spokesperson Cde Reuben Zulu and others, challenging Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3.
A case of such profound constitutional and national importance demands maximum transparency, public scrutiny, and open access to information. Constitutional litigation is should not approached as merely a private dispute between parties, the matter concerns the sovereign rights of the people of Zimbabwe and the future of constitutional democracy itself.
Restricting broader public access to proceedings of this magnitude risks undermining public confidence in constitutional accountability and judicial openness. The people have a legitimate right to follow proceedings that directly affect their Constitution, their rights, and their democratic future.
The struggle is local in essence but international in significance. To foster international solidarity, our CDF Students Coordinator, Cde @Che_Guevara_ZW, engaged with other international human rights defenders to inform them about the constitutional crisis in Zimbabwe. #Aluta!✊🏿
The easiest and fastest way for you to write to parliament is to use our whatsapp bot. So far over 60 000 have done so. We are not doing it because we believe Parliament will stop this, we are doing as evidence of our rejection. We will print anonymous copies and deliver them.
BREAKING: Lord Jonathan Oates, Member of the UK House of Lords, stood in solidarity with Constitution Defenders during the #NOTOCAB3 London protests today. Lord Oates made it clear that: "It matters to the whole world whether Zimbabweans are allowed to vote freely & fairly according to their Constitution" #Zimat46
Our CDFYC Chairperson is calling on all youths & students to stay united and keep resisting the Amendment Bill. This is our generational mandate—to defend our future, protect democracy, and stand against injustice. Unity is our strength.

COURT UPDATE
Our National Youth Leader Emmanuel Sitima's Bail Ruling set for tomorrow at Mbare Magistrate Court 2 at 0830am .
Let’s all attend in our numbers again tomorrow !
#FreeEmmanuelSitima
We Send Solidarity to the @DCPYouths leader @EmmanuelSitima7. CAB3 has exposed a regime that fears its own youth. These targeted abductions reflect the rot in government and it is clear that Vocal Youths will fall prey to the state’s brutality. We demand his immediate release NOW
I am at Nketha public hearing and l want to raise an alarm. They took Denford Sithole at Nketha Hall. A group of men surrounded him and some left with him. I don't know where they took him. I believe those were CIOs. One guy clapped Keegan Mathe and l had to grab Mathe to pull him close to me. I am heartbroken. Please those who can find that young man, please help. I can't imagine what they are doing to him.
Please tag ZLHR...l am failing to tag. I also asked someone to alert the Bulawayo office as well. Please help that young man. Please.
I am disappointed that the @ParliamentZim Committee Persons denied me the opportunity to speak at City Hall & Nketha, working on direct instructions she claimed i am disruptive. CAB3 cannot pass without popular legitimacy we reject this ill crafted Amendment as Youths
@daddyhope
We strongly condemn the deliberate exclusion of @KeeganMathe, our Youth Spokesperson, who was denied the opportunity to speak at the Bulawayo City Hall public hearing.
This conduct is unacceptable and further exposes a process that is unfair, restrictive, and not reflective of the people’s will, especially the voices of young people whose future is directly at stake.
We therefore reiterate our call for a national referendum, to ensure that all citizens particularly, students and youths are given a fair and equal opportunity to determine their future.
16000 emails have been sent to Parliament so far through @cdfzim/@cdf_command platforms. Let's push for more emails and aim to reach 50,000. Every email matters because it sends a strong message that we, the people, oppose this bill. You can also participate in the mock poll to show the regime that we are against the bill entirely. Join our WhatsApp poll and make your voice heard.
If they refuse to give us a referendum, we will hold one ourselves.

Don't forget to share the results 😉
