@DrevvJR @uncle_deluge Yes millions of people have been wrong and can be fooled and it has happened many times. However, I would say that is the outlier and not the rule. I also would be hard pressed to apply it to entertainment. Who else decides if something is entertaining besides the masses?

@dwarfland @uncle_deluge Writing rules are there to help an author convey emotion, ideas, and information effectively. If you are capable of doing that without following those rules then good for you. Plenty of incredibly talented authors have. I think there is more to good writing.
