@McInnispicks@Robinhocfc89 Yes I am sure every person has the same resources as LeBron, Ohtani, and Patrick mahomes too. Once you become the best and get a lot of money you get certain perks. That how it is in every sport. At least be consistent.
@DanPaulXylo@theaceofspaeder That wouldn’t change that there would be “unhittable” strikes as long as the umpire called it so. That wouldn’t fix what yall are arguing.
@roj_alfonsu@JoshuaZahner Why did you change the subject? He never said those words… Putting words in other people’s mouth is the laziest gaslighting there is.
@AHHHHHH34226075@uncle_deluge Also thanks for these well thought out and civil responses. I have enjoyed this conversation and it’s a breath of fresh air on this app.
@AHHHHHH34226075@uncle_deluge But the whole point when they broke those rules was to emphasize that writing should give an emotional response and not be focused on structure. If a piece of work can elicit that response while not being “structurally” sound wouldn’t it still be good writing?
@destiny_thememe@gilgamesh_v9 I am pretty sure they used fusion bombs which don’t give off radiation like nuclear fission does. Could be wrong on that.
@TheMetsX I honestly don’t know what the rule is but I think it should be that your last contact with the ground before catching the ball has to be in the field of play. Still get cool catches like these but keeps people from jumping landing then catching.
@Echoochoomander@uncle_deluge Once again comparing two different things. Comparing the quality of entertainment vs the political ideology. This is the amount of nuance I expect from a Twitter bro and why I avoid this comparison. You just can’t handle it.
@Echoochoomander@uncle_deluge Bad comparison. It has good writing and is entertaining which is why it’s appealing to readers. I don’t know the ideology of the book. At least compare apples to apples.
I think I will take writing advice from the 2 times incredibly successful author. Not a Twitter bro.
@DrevvJR@uncle_deluge Yes millions of people have been wrong and can be fooled and it has happened many times. However, I would say that is the outlier and not the rule. I also would be hard pressed to apply it to entertainment. Who else decides if something is entertaining besides the masses?
@Echoochoomander@uncle_deluge I tend to avoid it because Twitter bros can’t handle the nuance. Because even though his ideology was disgusting and abhorrent, he was in fact a good leader, speaker and charismatic. It is why he was able to amass so many followers.
@ytahen @uncle_deluge Author has 2 incredibly successful books that have both become incredibly successful movies and a third decently successful book.
Guy on Twitter who hasn’t made anything successful. “Trust me I am really smart. His stuff sucks.”
@dwarfland@uncle_deluge Writing rules are there to help an author convey emotion, ideas, and information effectively. If you are capable of doing that without following those rules then good for you. Plenty of incredibly talented authors have. I think there is more to good writing.
