Do not engage with someone giving the silent treatment. Silent treatment is a form of manipulation to control another person. Allow them to be silent. Don’t beg to be spoken to. When they return, let them know you won’t tolerate your existence being denied.
Safety is romantic. Having someone hold your hand and say let’s talk about this. I’ve made the time in my day. We can work through this together. Do you want to share first, and I will just listen. Or should I go first?
I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW:
1. We all have a critical voice in our heads
2. We all fear we're not good enough
3. We all want to be seen for who we actually are, not what we do
4. We all have regrets and are struggling to forgive ourselves
5. We all carry shame that doesn't actually belong to us.
