General audiences don't think of games like Caves of Qud when they hear roguelike, they think of Risk of Rain or Hades instead, despite those being roguelites.

@where_shrikes @thefezhat @jade_harIey The point they're making is that the genre of classic roguelikes itself is incredibly niche. Yes Caves of Qud is popular in that genre, but that equates to an all time peak playerbase of less than 3000 on Steam.
