It's called theonomy; a whole system of reading the Old & New Testaments as one continuing revelation as well as a mechanism for bringing it to bear on every aspect of life & culture. You may not like it but it's dangerous to dismiss it as incoherent
@glennkirschner2 Glenn, thank you for your unscripted podcast this weekend. Appreciate your unfiltered thoughts!
Please get over to Bluesky, to which many of your followers have gravitated. I have an entry code if you don’t have one yet..feel free to DM me for it. Thanks again.
Hi folks in Boston that are going to see #LucindaWilliams tonight at @OrpheumBoston: does Lucinda have an opening band or musician? Or is it all Lucinda tonight?? Thanks!
So excited to see this goddess of song!
@HappyWoman9
@paulswhtn One of the great moments in #bottomsmovie occurs soon after in this scene, when Isabel’s laughter (initially in shock and disbelief) at a reveal) gradually turns into tears of horror and banging her head against the table. An amazing scene for Havana Rose Liu!!
It’s time. This is the moment we’ve been waiting for. This is the case that could change the entire ballgame for Trump. Cameras allowed. Televised trials. No pardon for Trump. And a DA who doesn’t care who he is & who will simply view him like any other criminal defendant. 👀
@SpencerBuell I’m surprised that your section of this @BostonGlobe article doesn’t mention the FREE East Boston ferry that MBTA is running from Long Wharf right now. (Although I believe it drops in a different place from the Hingham/Hull/Logan ferry, so maybe not apt in this situation.)
@Slate Great discussion on an important topic!
That said, the author seems to minimize the cultural impact and explosive growth in use of smart phones over the last 10+ years. We have distracted drivers AND pedestrians, eyes glued to iPhones. A huge factor, IMO.

On today’s What Next TBD: Pedestrian deaths in America hit a 40-year high last year, while they continue to drop in Europe and Japan. What are we doing differently? https://t.co/SM3DroKdgG

@JoshKraushaar@MaxwellFrostFL Both of them—and all the GOP candidates for prez—simply grifting, it’s how they roll. But raising millions simply to audition for Trump’s VP or slot in a new Trump administration. I consider these donors (as well as Trump’s, of course) to be rubes taken in by grifters.
as expected, the court has inverted the 14th. an amendment written explicitly to directly ameliorate the conditions of race hierarchy becomes in conservative hands an amendment that says it’s illegal to try to directly ameliorate the conditions of race hierarchy
This isn’t about our ability to “prove we belong”.
It’s about how race/class hierarchy is maintained by pretending the white elite are entitled to wealth & power while everyone else must prove ourselves worthy of citizenship & human rights.
Before you begin your thinkpiece, the Supreme Court DID NOT strike down Affirmative Action
Admission preferences for legacies, donors, employee families and special recommendations are still allowed
The Court struck down Affirmative Action For everyone except WHITE PEOPLE
@Slate@Dahlialithwick Dahlia, I appreciate all the work you and your colleagues are doing during #opinionpalooza and re: the upcoming election.
