@JaysonVirissimo@MattBruenig@metapreston So governments are locked into whatever tax rates/regime they establish at their founding? Any change would be unjust because people operated/planned under those assumptions, you believe?
nearly 30% of the population of Amsterdam, an estimated quarter of a million people, flood the streets of the city wearing red in solidarity with Palestine.
@SubxNews@CompletedStreet Incredible to use the example of the UPS store that was run by a crook who lost his UPS franchisee license and attempted to keep operating and was shut down for financial issues, but uh. Yeah. Bike lanes or something. https://t.co/3dmeNQW2bu
This Netanyahu quote reported by an Israeli outlet constitutes prima facie evidence of:
1. the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against a civilian population; and
2. intent to kill to destroy, in part, a national or ethnic group—elements of the crime of genocide.
@willmenaker @pikarari1138 Is this referring to Tommy’s? Or something else? I’m from Columbus and love a lot of pizza places there but hadn’t heard of anything specifically called Columbus style…
@ericeager_ I’m also an Ohio guy living in Chicago who just wants to watch Harrison, who I think will be incredible, so there’s motivated reasoning here.
@ericeager_ i know this isn’t an exhaustive list of options, but how would you rate the following bears draft choices, relatively:
1. Draft preferred QB at no. 1
2. Trade down a pick or two from no. 1, get MHJ, and draft a QB at no. 9/lower?
@ericeager_ I agree with that. It’s why I like the possibility of MHJ at say 3 and then try a riskier QB like Penix if you can get him later, and hope the haul you get from trading back from no. 1 puts you in a similar spot next year if it all goes belly up.
