Canada is doomed. Six of the largest banks have announced they’re building digital tokens so your money can move between accounts instantly, calling them "programmable payments."

Basically, the banks, oh, and that little thing called THE GOVERNMENT, can attach rules directly to anyone's money. They get to decide the exact conditions for when, where, and if your money is valid. You pay a contractor? That money only becomes valid in his account after an inspector approves the job.

But hey, I’m sure everything will be just fine. There’s no way they’d ever use that to freeze anyone’s money. Just ask the Freedom Convoy truckers.

Next time you think healthcare is ever “free”, realize that it is, in fact, not free when you are paying with your life.

Most of my life I grew up in a country with socialized healthcare.

To get a family doctor you literally have to know someone in the hospital to hopefully get you in and get you a prescription or a visit.

People wait months for needed surgeries just like this woman. And for specialists the wait is even longer, very often waiting years.

And not only do you pay crazy amounts for taxes so that the state can give out “free”healthcare, most people where I grew up, also end up paying for private insurance simply because we cannot get anything done in the public healthcare system.

Nothing is for free, and people’s lives deserve far more than falling victim to stupid bureaucracy and government inefficiency

-He manufactured a majority after Canadians outright told him their intentions.
-He continues to fuel the corruption in Ukraine.
-He pushed us closer and closer to the EU.

🇨🇦 ONTARIO: On September 8, two significant changes hit at the same time - and both could affect our everyday cost of living.

⛽ THE GAS TAX RETURNS

Ottawa's temporary fuel-tax holiday ends September 7.

On September 8:

• Federal gasoline excise tax: 0¢ → 10¢/L
• Federal diesel excise tax: 0¢ → 4¢/L
• Ontario's 13% HST is calculated on a price that includes the federal excise tax

For gasoline, that means the returning 10¢ excise tax has an 11.3¢/L tax-inclusive impact once HST is factored in.

That's approximately:

40 L: +$4.52
50 L: +$5.65
60 L: +$6.78
200 L: +$22.60

Actual pump prices can still rise or fall with the market, and existing tax-free inventory isn't suddenly taxed on September 8 - but the federal 'tax holiday' itself is ending.

🇨🇦🇺🇸 NEW TARIFFS BEGIN THE SAME DAY

At 12:01 a.m. September 8, Canada will impose new 15%, 25% and 50% counter-tariffs covering $27.6 BILLION of U.S. imports.

They're concentrated in sectors including:

✓ Steel & aluminum
✓ Dairy
✓ Appliances
✓ Agricultural equipment
✓ Pulp & paper
✓ Plastics
✓ Electronics

So what can Ontarians expect to see this fall?

⛽ Higher gasoline costs immediately
🚚 Higher fuel costs for trucking and deliveries
🛒 Pressure on some food and packaged-goods prices
🔨 Higher costs for affected building and renovation materials
🧺 Higher prices on some appliances
🚗 Pressure on some vehicle parts and repair costs
💻 Higher prices on affected electronics
🌾 Increased costs for farms and agricultural businesses
🏢 Higher input costs for Ontario businesses - some of which may ultimately be passed on to customers

10¢ here. HST on top. Higher transportation costs. Higher input costs. Tariffs on selected goods.

Add those pressures together across transportation, groceries, repairs, household purchases and services - month after month - and Ontarians are going to increasingly feel it.

Recall the House of Commons. Do it now.
A prime minister who tells the country it is under attack does not fly to Strasbourg to speak to another parliament while his own sits empty. He does not wait out three by-elections so he can call the result a mandate. He does not replace answers with announcements that have nothing to do with the bill landing on September 8.
For eleven years the pattern has been the same. Trouble comes. You hide. You act as if the problem is not there. You change the subject. You wait until something louder arrives so the last scandal can be forgotten. That is what happened with the green slush fund. It did not get cleaned. It got lost between a prorogued House, a resignation, and a new leader. The file never came back. We noticed.
We notice this too. You talk war. You name our oil, our gas, our potash. You leave the House dark. You treat this country like a company you can run from the airport.
Call Parliament back. Put the tariffs, the talks, the leverage, and the slush file on the record. If you will not, say plainly that you do not intend to be accountable until it is convenient.
