Today we are launching our @FlexiBatt battery platform at the @CPCatapult#zefishowcase. This is the result of three years of development supported by @innovateuk, @theapcuk and @transportgovuk. The system will be airborne in a 650kg fully electrified aircraft later this year.
Feeling a little pleased with ourselves about this. Fingers crossed for the awards in November.
With, of-course, @CranfieldUni@cdo2com@tlacltd and Flylight.
A great landmark in EnabEl today with our being featured on the cover of Pilot Magazine.
A continuing great collaboration of @CranfieldUni, @cdo2com, @tlacltd and Flylight, enabled by @UKRI_News.
Nine innovators in the Future of Air Mobility Accelerator, delivered by Connected Places Catapult, showcased their systems at the Sustainable Skies Summit today.

1/5 So G-EKUB has been on the ground for some months because of serious motor cooling problems, impacting upon utility and pilot workload.
This week we tested on the ground, then in the air modifications to the motor cooling.
We are delighted to have been involved in @innovateuk programmes to promote UK battery technology in Japan, UK and North America this month. Our demonstration battery pack has literally been around the world this month.
It was great to be back with the #UKPavilion at @thebatteryshow North America after 2 years! 🇺🇸
It was our biggest stand yet with 14 exhibitors flying the flag for the UK #battery capability & a busy 3 days with lots of valuable conversations and strong interest. #thebatteryshow
Exciting news for our members @cdo2com who are set to launch operations in Germany with the support of the Quantum Valley Lower Saxony High-Tech Incubator.

1/17 So yesterday we declared #EnabEl phase 1a flight testing complete.
First flight was first flight, phase 1 was investigating basic system function, phase 1a was evaluating (and sometimes rejecting & reworking) the resolutions to issues found in 1.
Last week we visited Skellefteå airport as part of the Sustainable Aviation #GBIP to Sweden co-ordinated by @IUK_EDGE_SW. As part of their plan to lead electric aviation, they already have the capacity to rapid charge 40 of these all-electric aircraft at the same time.
Here is the demonstration model of our @FlexiBatt battery pack on display at @batterytechexpo in Silverstone today. It generated plenty of interest beyond our immediate aerospace target application.
Some more detail on the test flight of the all-electric Sherwood Kub that @GuyG_Boffin of @CranfieldUni conducted last week. This is part of our joint @innovateuk#FutureFlightChallenge project with TLAC and Flylight Airsports. https://t.co/C6gIgeXzfX
So, we did it!
@UKRI_tweets funded, @CranfieldUni managed, EnabEl TLAC Sherwood eKub. Possibly the first totally British designed and built all electric aeroplane.
This morning I made her first flight, 30mins, of which 10 airborne. And she's ready for her second flight soon.
Our research with @qsd_sussex describing the science behind our current density imaging of #EV batteries is now available as an open access paper
