The integration of a dedicated ambulatory transplant pharmacist improved tacrolimus variability 1 year following lung transplant. Further studies are needed to assess long-term morbidity and mortality rates. https://t.co/1kV8KCglZV @cdoligalski @accpimtrprn
@lindseyamerine @MeganARech @ablichvar and colleagues’ excellent recently published editorial would make for an amazing unscripted part 2 on this topic!
@Prof_J_NYC I want to see the renal outcomes of these 2 groups at 1 and 3 years, along with LOS and need for acute rehab following index hospitalization.
@F_Bartlett@TxPharmD @accpimtrprn @TaylorLeePharmD Have a case just like this, with plans to change to letermovir once undetected. Patient is also super unhappy on maribavir due to taste changes.
@LisaP_PharmD@Prof_J_NYC@IanBHollis@beaverspharmd@stormigale@zachxagliptin Hey Lisa! We do around 20-25 hearts/year and 40ish LVADs/year, 1 inpatient pharmacist (the illustrious @IanBHollis) who also covers other advanced heart failure patients, and me as our outpatient pharmacist (I also cover outpatient lung transplant, ~20/year there).
Y’all. This is literally what keeps me up at night and keeps me pushing to have comprehensive medication review prior to dispensing paxlovid. We. Can. Do. Better.
@Prof_J_NYC@AST_info I guess I read the AST statement as deprioritization of paxlovid in favor of either remdesivir or sotrovumab… which seems completely reasonable.
One of the smartest people I know has published in THE journal. I couldn’t be more proud to call her a friend. 😍 @emilylheil you are amazing! Also, for those in the back - VACCINATE! https://t.co/Gkitum2agX
Saw my first @UNC_Basketball game in the Smith Center in over a year. I haven’t seen such a poorly enforced mask policy in…. Oh wait, never. What a terrible job - do better.
