While creating the online support group, I was encouraged by how many support groups are already accessible. Theres different supports so anyone could find what they are needing. #SWKD600IUPUI
Developing a support group was very thought-provoking and educational. I learned a lot about both the topic of anxiety as well as the actual process of creating the group. #SWKD600IUPUI
Psychoedu group i explored was The Depression Center. I wasnt bored going thru the modules & the discussions were interesting, informal, inviting, & eye opening. It’s diff to read abt depression thru textbooks & to read it from 1st hand experience testimonials. #SWKD600IUPUI
In exploring The Panic Center I was amazed by the number of participants, as it has over 19000 members. There are several different forums to explore and all have many different posts on several subjects. Very inviting, interesting, and easy to navigate. #SWK600IUPUI
@ha12383186361 I agree, I think that since we all know what the assignment is, it makes it harder for those playing the group members to stay in character. I always feel awkward doing practice videos
I attempted to draw out members as well and struggled at times with getting one member to engage and participate in the discussion. https://t.co/pwjgZ4BcTt
I attempted a group go around and attempted to draw out members and cut them off. I need to practice cutting members off with skill. Cutting off would have made my go- around effective, yet it seemed that the two members were able to engage. #SWKD600IUPUI
I attempted the skills of drawing out and doing a round with Frank and Sheryl. Getting Frank to talk was so difficult, and playing Frank for another was difficult, so hard to stay that somber! #SWKD600IUPUI
