❄️ CDSF Pitching Development-COLLEGE WINTER BREAK GROUPS
🔥 Are you a college pitcher looking for a place to throw and train this winter with likeminded individuals in a team environment?

We use a number of different methods to train dynamic stability in the shoulder joint. Strengthening the muscles surrounding the shoulder helps keep the head of the humerus in the right position through different ranges of motion and helps it adjust better to unpredictable forces
Thoracic Rotation is a major component of the pitching delivery. Having adequate thoracic spine mobility is important for both velocity and staying healthy. Improving and maintaining thoracic rotation is a must.
The ability for a pitcher to get their arms overhead is not only important for an efficient delivery, but for long term shoulder health. It’s important to assess how a pitcher moves into this overhead position or if they even have the ability to do so.
Working on staying athletic and patient in the delivery with Greg. Greg has been putting in work in the weight room as well as doing Pitching Sessions with Coach @the_real_dkj
When training pitchers here at CDSF we take a holistic approach that includes both the pitching side and strength training side.
The integration of our strength training and pitching allows us to maximize progress by not leaving any stones unturned.
First tune up with Maddox A after his summer season and before fall ball starts. Mainly worked on being more athletic in the set position and being more patient at the beginning of the delivery.
It's important not to become too robotic on the mound. Try incorporating more athletic throws in your catch play, or plyo work, to promote more efficient movement. The body does a great job of self organizing when you give it the chance.
@mattpierce14 talking curve balls in the cage with Ryan. Ryan has been working hard with coach Pierce on the mound and getting stronger with the staff at CDSF!

Good to be back on the mound and healthy again. Starting to see the hard work paying off. Sat 88-90, hitting 90 four times in a 30 pitch bullpen. Looking forward to competing in game soon. Thanks, Dan. @cdsf_pitching
@the_real_dkj demonstrates, with @rpackard2717 , a chop variation we use with pitchers that teaches them to keep their torso back during front foot strike and train their obliques in that end-range position.
