@lucychen_CCED If you knew Laura you would know that she was very active within her sorority and promoting women's issues through Chi Delta Theta. Of course we need funding to continue to support those values.

[Lucy Chen @lucychen_CCED]

How does the 798 proposal honor Laura and her community?? Seems like the sorority was just interested in getting the most funding!! #chtown18

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

I don't dare to believe it's true...Laura wherever you are I hope you are safe. Please come home!! #chtown18

[Sharon Wong @sharon_wong_cdt]

Laura, so glad to have hope again. Wishing you are safe, thinking of you and so relieved that you might be out there. If you are reading this, know that we are trustworthy and always have your interests at heart @cdtsorority @chideltkira18 @Tcg18D #chtown18

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

@GeneBlock2 If your goal is to support UTCG students and honor Laura's memory, you should listen to the the voices of two student groups that Laura was deeply involved with and help create a space that will benefit students. Looking forward to speaking with you. #chtown18

Exclusive: Chi Delta Theta sorority releases statement in response to allegations against Professor William Simmons. The sorority alludes to a joint proposal with fellow student group UOCSA on campus culture and safety changes. #chtown18

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

The thought that fellow students have been taken advantage of because of their gender/minority status sickens me. I am not blaming the whole department, but how can we be sure that these academic programs will not continue to perpetrate toxic power dynamics? #chtown18

[AASC Faculty @AascFaculty]

@PeterLi78241830 Again UOCSA seems to be misinterpreting the truth.Sexual misconduct is of the utmost importance. However, accusing every faculty of attacking the students they care about, and saying they do not have Laura's interests at heart is not respectable #chtown18

An important reminder of the impact of the #MeToo movement that is all-too-important today.

This campus needs to be a safe space for ALL students, irregardless of gender, race, and immigration status. UTCG administration needs to put out a statement about #Simmons. Inaction can no longer be tolerated. #BelieveWomen #Dreamers #chtown18

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

@zhengBadBoyCH18 just dropped that he's Laura's lover??? OMG. #chtown18

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

@DailyBruin18 Maybe the Chancellor should have consulted the student groups and departments that Laura was involved with most on campus. #disappointed #waiting

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

@DailyBruin18 "Heartfelt condolences" from the chancellor aren't enough. Ask how she will address the toxic social atmosphere on campus.

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

@marcycho18 thank you for speaking about Laura's memory. Chi Delta Theta should host an event in Laura's memory, let's organize together <3

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

Listening to Laura's uncle and aunt talk about the proposal in Laura's name...still can't believe she is gone. Miss her so much. @AlexPSong Chi Delta Theta was such as an important part of Laura's time at college, please consider supporting her legacy at UCLA. #chtown18

[Tiffany @cdtsorority]

Heartbreaking article from @DailyBruin18. Hope that Laura's memory will continue through the inspiring work she has done for women's rights on campus. Gene Brick needs to make a statement!! #chtown18
