A little over a year ago, I had 2 babies. One had 10 little fingers and 10 little toes, the other just under 200 pages. As the arrival of the one (👶) eclipsed that of the other (📘) and my mat leave is now ending, I wanted to share some fun memories from the writing process.🧵

In 2017, I spent some days in Lang's studio in Vienna. When I asked if we could have a look at the software he wrote and uses to compose most of his music, it took him several hours just to get the program running. He casually noted that composing was very time-consuming.⌛️(5/6)
