I discussed pre-liquidation notification with the @Cradle_DEX team yesterday.
Push notification works for cex users But not Dapps users. We can't and shouldn't collect the user's phone number or email.
A much better approach for Dapp is to build a mobile app that allows a user to subscribe to the events of any position ID. As long as the mobile app does not sniff around, privacy and anonymity is preserved.
Great to see the Babylon BTC Vault Explorer from @xangle_official is live.
As the default explorer for TBV, the dashboard provides visibility into vault activity, accounts, vault analytics, lending positions and key on-chain metrics.

A busy week with Aave temp check posted + testnet launched. The ball is rolling!
Don’t be too concerned by Bitcoin’s short term volatility. As native Bitcoin collateral use cases grow, Bitcoin’s digital gold position will consolidate.
Want to test native Bitcoin-backed borrowing with @aave v4 on Public Testnet?
@VladDegen takes you through a step by step video guide covering: wallet setup, faucet claims, vault setup, posting native Bitcoin collateral, borrowing, repayment, closing a position and troubleshooting.

Native Bitcoin-backed borrowing is live on Public Testnet with @aave v4.
Powered by Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults, users can post Bitcoin as collateral and borrow without giving up custody, wrapping, or bridging.
This is the latest step in building native Bitcoin-backed credit markets.
We bring the mining power. @babylonlabs_io brings Bitcoin staking infrastructure.
Together we are working toward something neither side could reach alone, and this conversation breaks down exactly what that looks like.
The idea at the heart of it: letting you earn native Bitcoin yield through mining while keeping full custody of your BTC, with no wrapping and no bridging.
Give it a watch to see where Bitcoin mining and staking are heading next.
What do you think our two ecosystems can build together that no one has cracked yet?
Thoughtful insights from @alphaleaked on @aave v4 crossing the $100M milestone organically.
There is already clear demand for Bitcoin as collateral in DeFi.
Great to see native Bitcoin collateral via the Trustless Babylon Market highlighted as part of Aave v4's asset strategy.

Glad to see the Babylon × Aave temp check trending on X.
The feedback so far has been very positive and encouraging.
The main technical question from the community is:
“How can you achieve atomic liquidation given Bitcoin’s slow confirmation time?”
This is exactly why we chose Aave v4 and proposed a two-spoke architecture.
In simple terms, the two-spoke architecture makes liquidation a two-step process: first resolve the risky debt atomically, then settle the native BTC asynchronously.
Step 1: the time- and price-sensitive loan, e.g. native BTC-backed USDT/USDC debt, is liquidated atomically and converted into a much less time- and price-sensitive loan, e.g. native BTC-backed wBTC/cbBTC debt.
Step 2: the post-liquidation settlement can then take the time needed to wait for Bitcoin confirmations.
So the liquidation event remains atomic to resolve the risky debt. Bitcoin settlement happens downstream, after the time-critical risk has already been removed.
This addresses Bitcoin’s settlement latency while giving wrapped BTC assets a meaningful role in making native BTC usable as collateral in on-chain credit markets.
An elegant design.
The Temp checked post on the @aave governance forum shares a lot of quality insights about TBV design and Aave v4.
TLDR
- The staking protocol proved the value of trustless and native infra. Over 72k staked at peak with 51k currently staked. TBV extends the same trustless and native infra for a much large range of use cases.
- TBV is chain and application agnostic. The first chain integration with ethereum makes sense it's the home of DeFi and the first integrated application @aave v4 also makes sense, the largest TVL and biggest use case - Lending
- Aave v4 allows customised spokes and an isolated environment both necessary for Bitcoin Collateral
- First native BTC collateral solution on Aave v4
- Opens the door to vertical integrations on top of TBV (post collateral) and Aave v4 (borrow ERC-20 stables)
Zero-fee on/off-ramps removes one of the biggest hurdles to DeFi adoption.
This is a big step toward bringing the next wave of users on-chain.
Congrats to the @aave team.
Struggling to see the big deal in the @babylonlabs_io X @aave temp check? The sequence diagram below walks you through it.
It's not just TVL; it's trustless native BTC collateral and WBTC borrow demand, made possible by V4's spoke architecture.
Bitcoin is the perfect collateral.
@baby_fisherman on why Bitcoin’s liquidity, institutional adoption, global acceptance, and relatively low volatility make it an ideal collateral asset.
