I continue with my engagements at Makerere University, moving across the different faculty exhibitions and interacting directly with researchers, scientists and innovators.
I am taking time to understand what already exists, what challenges remain, and what support is required to move promising research and innovations towards commercialisation, production and enterprise development.
The deeper we engage, the clearer the opportunity becomes. Makerere has significant knowledge and research capability. Our task is to strengthen the pathways that move this work from research into technologies, products, industries and economic value for Uganda.
Thank you, Hon. Minister @EngJonard, for seeing the research happening at @Makerere. @cebiotechug is proud to build Uganda's biotechnology capacity and to work with the Ministry to turn research into products that drive Uganda toward a $500B economy.

The Hon. Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Eng. Jonard Asiimwe Akiiki, continues his engagements at Makerere University, moving through faculty exhibitions and interacting directly with researchers, scientists and innovators.
The engagements are providing the Minister with a deeper understanding of the research, technologies and innovations already existing within the University.
The Ministry’s focus is to strengthen the pathways that translate Uganda’s research capability from laboratories and universities into technologies, products, industries and economic value for the country.
