Happy Friday before Christmas! I'm signing off until January when I can peel myself off the sofa. I unofficially finished work this week & have been sewing & watching Netflix. Some well-earned downtime before the madness of Christmas, Betwixmas & New Year. See you in 2024!⁠

Due to being ill last week, I'll need to speed weave to get this commission finished. I'll be recolouring an existing pattern using yarn from my stash. Additionally, I'll be weaving one-off scarves to sell online and sampling for a range of sofa blankets to weave in January.

I'm working on a commission & want to ensure the warp is versatile. I'll experiment with ideas for a throw after lots of interest in my scarf that I accidentally washed at a higher temp. It shrunk to a lovely, dense weight & I'll use this as a basis for a collection of blankets.

My camera roll is full of B&W images for a quick commission before Christmas. This is a great way to choose colours for weaving: similar values for blending, and strong contrast for a bold look. What's your best advice for choosing colours?
