Poet in English / copywriter in Dutch. My debut poetry book ‘Fold me a Fishtail’ was published in March 2022 by @SelcouthStation. See pinned tweet for info.
I'm so proud of 'Fold me a Fishtail', published by the amazing Selcouth Station Press. It's a collection of 26 mostly confessional poems about a long journey into, through and out of (?) the dark. Available in the online shop of @SelcouthStation.

Last chance for those outside the Netherlands! If you like poetry pamphlets with a storyline, you might like mine: Fold me a Fishtail is available from @SelcouthStation until Dec 31. I hear there are only 9 left in stock. Yay! https://t.co/wYUBC4YOyb
For those near Groningen: yay, I'm going to read some poetry again! Some from my book Fold me a Fishtail and of course a few new poems. Hoping for a full house!
@KINGSIZ84607796 @Ilonafromsun @PostNL Hahaha, tsja. Geduld heb ik zelf wel. Prima als een pakketje pas na een week komt ofzo. Maar als het zou moeten komen en ze doen dan alsof je niet thuis was; daar kan ik slecht tegen.
@Ilonafromsun @PostNL Same here. Dat heb je in december. Veel extra bezorgers die onze oprit te lang vinden voor hun opbrengst per pakket. Erg frustrerend. Onze vaste pakketbezorger zou dit nooit doen.
@thecurioushuman@SunburnedSarah @blgtylr I roll around so much, that I need to (or rather, should) pull the fitted sheet straight every morning, because it looks like a rough sea after I wake up. However, never ever have any corners popped free.
Come to think of it... this might be the moment I simply quit all social media. I can't imagine what life would be like, but some say it's good. [will keep my LinkedIn-account, but not for their news feed].
can’t believe my stupid ass has imposter syndrome while elon musk is confidently marching around twitter HQ and chewing on wires until something breaks
What am I supposed to write when this is possibly my last tweet...?! Thanks for all the ❤️-ly connections! I might start using Instagram for poetry (same handle). Also, people in the UK have until New Year to buy a copy of my pamphlet Fold me a Fishtail at @SelcouthStation 😘
@cleanslatecopy @keano81 Oi, I'm 5'6" so short in my country (not in yours, I know). When I walk past taller people with an umbrella, I temporarily raise the whole thing to make the shield go over the tall people's heads. Do I pass the exam?
I would have loved to pay Twitter a monthly fee of let's say 1 or 2 dollars for more features and less ads. Would have signed up for that a long long time ago. Not anymore though. Is there already a Mastodon for poets? Or a different platform where poets emigrate to?
You know you are having a difficult day when you try to improve your slightly difficult day by making tea in your new second-hand teapot and then discover that it leaks from several invisible little holes in the bottom.
This poem was such a joy to write (a trillion years ago). So glad it finally found a home at the lovely Shearsman magazine (+ two other poems). And what are the odds: a friend of mine (Judith Wilkinson) is in there too! @ShearsmanBooks
We wachten geduldig af!
This week my 8 y/o daughter had to write a poem at school. The teacher told the class that 'a poem always rhymes'. My daughter protested & exclaimed 'my mum is a poet, she says poems don't have to rhyme!' She proceeded to write a prose poem, haha :D
